Ronda Rousey was born on February 1, 1987, in Riverside, California. At the time of her birth, the umbilical cord was coiled around her neck. This lead to a speech disorder and suffered from speech sound disorder for the initial six-year of her life.

She is the youngest of three daughters of  AnnMaria De Mars and Ron Rousey. Her mother was the first American woman, who win World Judo Championship in 1984. Rousey’s parents provide her a speech therapy at Minot State University when she was three years old.

And for this, they had come to Jamestown North Dakota for speech therapy from Riverside. She lost her biological father, Ron Rousey when she was just eight years old. He attempted suicide in 1995 when he got to know about to be a paraplegic.

After this, her mother raised her and two sisters along with pursuing a Ph.D. at the University of California, Riverside. Rousey left her high school and get GED later on.

At the age of 21, she took leave from her Judo career and begins her career in MMA (Mixed Martial Art) at the age of 22 with the thought of not investing time in a conventional field of work.

Her judo career began when she was 11 years old. She learned everything about judo from her mother and take training from her till the age of 13. After that, she gets the training from a trainer.

In the Olympic Games of 2004 in Athens, she became the youngest judoka to qualifying that. At the age of 19, she won the bronze medal in Junior World Championship and became the first American athlete to win two Junior World Medals.

With the continuation of the winning in this field, she won the Bronze at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China, and became the first American woman to win an Olympic medal in judo.

After taking retirement from judo at 21, she did jobs as a bartender and cocktail waitress for financial support. She started training at Hayastan MMA Academy of Gokor Chivichyan. She also got training at the Glendale Fighting Club by coach Edmond Tarverdyan.

From 2011 to 2014, she takes training in Jiu-Jitsu with coach Henry Akins at Dynamix MMA. On August 6, 2010, she made her first mixed martial arts against Hayden Munoz and defeated her in seconds with an armbar.

She used this armbar technique in most of the matches to defeat all the opponents. The armbar became her signature move which she learned from her mother.

Rousey made her debut in Strikeforce against Sarah D’Alelio in August 2011, in Las Vegas. With her armbar move, she became the Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion in 2011. Then she pursued towards Ultimate Fighting Championship and became the first female to enter UFC.

Rousey entered in wrestling career through the biggest show of WWE- “Wrestlemania 31″ in the year 2015. After her grand entry into this field, she did participate in many WWE events and won championships. In 2018, she surprised everyone by participating in WWE’s Raw brand. Rousey also has a career as an actress despite being a wrestler. She did many outstanding movies like The Expendables 3, Furious 7, Mile 22, and Entourage, etc. Not only in movies, but she also appeared in the procedural drama series 9-1-1. Rousey lives in Venice, California. She turned into a vegan in 2008. She spent her leisure time playing video games and play with her pet. She loves Pokemon, World of Warcraft, and Dragon Ball Z video games. She loves animals and she also did good work for them.

Like, she raises money through White Tiger Foundation for Black Jaguar. She takes time for her body as well, she does workouts and also spends time at the gym even a single day of the week.

Rousey accepted in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, that she had time in her life when she goes through depression and body shaming problems. She also has suicidal thoughts when she loosed the match with Holly Holm and got out of the ring for a year due to her injury.

Her dating with another UFC fighter Travis Browne gets started in 2015, At that time Browne was still married to his estranged wife. Rousey engaged with Browne in April 2017 in New Zealand and then married in Hawaii in August 2017.
