She is the youngest of three daughters of AnnMaria De Mars and Ron Rousey. Her mother was the first American woman, who win World Judo Championship in 1984. Rousey’s parents provide her a speech therapy at Minot State University when she was three years old.
And for this, they had come to Jamestown North Dakota for speech therapy from Riverside. She lost her biological father, Ron Rousey when she was just eight years old. He attempted suicide in 1995 when he got to know about to be a paraplegic.

From 2011 to 2014, she takes training in Jiu-Jitsu with coach Henry Akins at Dynamix MMA. On August 6, 2010, she made her first mixed martial arts against Hayden Munoz and defeated her in seconds with an armbar.
